Most people are a mix of several different backgrounds. I am mostly German with a little Welsh, but that is rare. A lot of people will list 4 or 5 different parts of their lineage.

By now, most of them are....the generation considered Baby boomers are probably the last of the pure blooded European/Americans... which is fine as america is supposed to be a melting pot.....as time goes by more & more "foreign" words will become part of everyday English too.

Maybe they look different because they are not "caucasian"
In this country, once you become mixed, you are no longer considered white.
Anyways, Eurpoeans look way different than Americans and Canadians look way different than Americans-even when they are all caucasian.
I lived in Maui, where people from all over the world travel to. It was easy to tell where peopel were from. I could tell the difference from Indians and other Asians who lived in Canada and those that didn't. I could identify people from switzerland, Italy, germany. sweden, russia, england, mexico, midwest, east coast...just from how they looked, dressed, behaved, body-language, attitude...

I hate the term "Caucasians" I am considered one but would like to be considered a "European American" if blacks are considered "African Americans" even tho they are forth and up generations from Africa I should be considered Euro-American for I am first generation in my family from Europe.

Yeah I'm Irish, Norwegian, German, and Swedish.
I just hate it when people think being "white" or "caucasian" is one race.
Even though people have the same color skind doesn't mean they come from the same backgrounds.
