I know they lost Randle El, and Bettis, but come on they still won the Super Bowl last year. Bug Ben knows how to win, I know he can't throw the football as well as Peyton Manning, but look where he is, he has been in the NFL for 10 years and has never won a championship, and so what if Ben only "manages" games it works doesn't it? I heard somebody say they will be 5-11 if they are lucky, how do you go from Super Bowl winners to jokes that quick if you only lost 2 or 3 key guy that really weren't that essential anyhow? They still have one of the top 3 defenses and the best running game in the NFL if Staley would get healthy for once and Parker plays as well as he did last year Ben Roethlisberger can actually win games even when he plays poorly. I don't think the Steelers will repeat but missing the playoffs? I say they post at least 10 or 11 wins again this year. I could go on forever but I'm running out of room for this question. What do you think the Steelers will do with their 2006?

They'll be the favorite to win their division this season, but it's going to be tough to repeat at Super Bowl champs - not because they're a weak team, but because it's just a tough thing to do, and some NFC teams have gotten stronger.
Losing Bettis and Randle El, in my opinion, shouldn't hurt them much. They still have both speed and power options in their backfield, and Randle El never came close to fulfilling his potential. This is a team that will win with gritty running and tough receivers like Ward, not big-play guys like Antwan. I see no reason why Big Ben shouldn't have another good year. A lot of people get on him for only passing 20 times a game, but why should he throw more when he doesn't have to?
The toughest thing for the Steelers this year might be their schedule. They get Miami, Tampa Bay, KC and Denver at home, all of which could be tough games, and they have road contests against San Diego, Atlanta and Carolina. The Steelers should be okay, but that's a killer schedule for anyone.
I project them to have a 10-6 record this season, which I think should be enough to win the division, given that the Bengals also have a tough schedule and questions about Palmer.
By the way, I'm a Bengals fan, and I wish I could say the Steelers would suck. I just know better.

Ben got injured. Bus is left. The team doesn't really have a solid leader. They have a young team. Too young. They will still be able to do great things. They got ward. Ben will got better. Even if Steeler need a leader, they still has their pro safety Troy. Steeler can do great things. they need to play a good offense and a better defense.

They don't think that Big Ben is fully recovered from his accident which is absolutely false. Rothleisburger is fully recovered and they will have a great season.

There's been a lot of brain damage lately would be my guess. The Black & Gold will be just fine, 12-4 & then another road trip!
