It is getting to the point that it's difficult to pick up my 18 month old daughter.

If it's a pulled muscle why is only on one side, and why has it lasted for so long?

Since you disclosed that you have an eighteen month old I think that more than likely it's a pulled muscle; a muscle that has gotten over stressed and tore some cells; causing severe pain one of the most severe pain that can be caused in the body. You may have pulled the muscle; without knowing while lifting, carrying, or playing with your child.

The more cells that are torn the more severe the pain is. A pulled muscle heals slowly and is hard to get it to heal

Better safe than sorry...schedule an appointment with your M.D just to make sure it is not signs of something more serious.

Good luck!

I would definitly go to the DR. The pain under the arm conscerns me as this could be a swollen lymph node and needs to be diagnosed so it you can begin treatment if it is anything like cancer.

it's hard to say, it could be a pulled muscle from picking up your daughter if it's a constant pain! you should go see a doctor though to be sure.

Hmm... I would go to a doctor and double check, but it sounds as if it's a pulled muscle.
