I hear my name called all the time, and most often by my Grand mother who died when I was 16, I have a doll from her bed that will move when some one on her side of the family is very ill or dead. I like to think of it as my guardian spirit looking out for me and keeping me up with the things I am doing, especially if I am deeply into a particular interest.

The last time it happened I was taking a test in an empty classroom with the door closed and all the windows shut. I heard someone say my name in my ear, clear as day. It startled me so much that I got up to check the closet and then the door (I was on the second floor, so there's no way it was someone underneathe the window.) see if someone was trying to get into the room. Nobody was there, and to this day I can't explain it, but it was a cool experience.

Yeah. But I have a super-common name in real life and sometimes I just can't see who's calling my name.

Camryn Manheim said that when she was trying to pick a new name for herself (she was dubbed Debra Frances Manheim by her parents), that she tried a few names, but they didn't stick. But when she was walking around Jerusalem with her sister, she kept hearing someone call out, "Camryn!" over one of her shoulders, and then in her pictures from the trip, that shoulder was pale, like someone had been shading it (but nobody was there over her shoulder and she hadn't told anyone she was trying out the new name.) Or it was her purse shading her shoulder. But whatever, she picked Camryn based on hearing it called out and she said it was the only name that suited her.

Yep. Most of the time it's very late at night or very early morning if I'm up. Sometimes it's in a crowded place. Sometimes a whisper. Happens more if I get very little sleep.

Very Creepy!

Yeah, but I usually think it's my hubby calling me. When I go to him and ask him what he wanted, he tells me he didn't say any thing but was thinking about calling me to ask me for something...
And if he is at work or we are otherwise separated when I "hear" him, within about five minutes the phone will ring, and guess who it is?
Talk about being one soul in two bodies!

Yes, a very long time ago. It scared me a lot! My guess is that it must have been a ghost trying to get through to me. The same thing probably happened to you. Listen to them. You could be able to help them. =)

All the time, though sometimes I'm at a store, and I hear a mother yell "MADISON!!" and I can't help but turn around and be like, "Oh crap what did I do." and it turns out they are just yelling at their four year olds or whatever. lol
