NO, i studied for 13 years at the same school when i first started a man recieved his 1st black belt on his 50th bday and said it made him feel much better training. He said before he started he felt broken down and slow. Then after about a year he felt so much better. If your depressed it also gives so much a confidence boost. I fought my depression with martial arts for years. I enjoyed my experiance so much that i will be opening a school with my brother and sister in the future and everybody is welcome. The place i trained let anybody in and didnt say you were not the right type which i believe is the right ideal. When i started looking for a place to train 2 places told me i was too fat to train and i could never learn. 5 years later i was the national champion in my age division in the aau the only national champion out of my state. Also went on to be on team usa for 4 years and win a world championship. If it wasnt for martial arts my life would of been much much worse.

You're not too old for martial arts. I am a black belt and I have seen adults as old as 40 in my class. If u watch Dr. 90210 on E! you'll see that one of the doctors (Dr. Robert Rey) is active in his martial arts training. He is 45 years old.

Yup. 33 is really old. Your joints all seize up and your brain doesn't work so good anymore, so you can't learn anything new. Just stay home and watch TV.
