my son was sexually molested by his father cousin my . I took my son to our family doctor ,where my Dr. confirmed a recent tear and an old tear in my sons rectum, Dr advised me to take my son to emergency room, I did . at the hospital all they did was take his vital signs, never examined his rectum. doctor said my son was going to be addmitted waited 4-5 hrs for them to transport my son to his room, then doctor returned and said my son wasn't going to be admitted because insurance would not cover his stay over nite.was told to return the next day for blood and a rectum culture, hospital still didn't check my sons rectum, hospital made statement to detective that my son was fine, so now the guy that abused my son is scott free never was arrested. yet I have proof from the first doctor, plus the doctor wrote diagram showing the tears in my sons rectum and i have pictures . hospital screwed up royal by not exam my son. mean while my son is going threw hell please help me mary

I did a police report the same day . my son went to the specialist, where detective Dcfs were behind the mirror where my son could'nt see them. the so called specialist based the abuse on a nite mare my son was having, my son told the specialist that the guy that abused him put a speaker in his butt, my son had not came out with the truth yet.my son was having nite mare. I told the speialist that what i thought you were for to find out what really happened, he only sat with my son for 20 to 25 min. my sister also went with me , sister said that was the poorest interview she has ever seen. my sister worked for Dcfs for over 30 yrs. how do these people think that in such a short time they could make such a diagonois. Dcfs told them ,tear in rectum didn't come from a dream. there final statement . was a dream. what do you think of this.

1) Hire an attorney so you can sue the hospital and cousin.
2) The attorney can help you contact the DA's office and figure out how to proceed. DNA evidence would be very nice, but it isn't required.
3) Get a children's psychologist to treat your son.

The doctor was suppose to do a rape kit on him immediately. If it is not done immediately after the abuse, all proof will be washed away. If the guy used protection, there want be any proof other than the tear. I would take him to the police and file a report. I would get a lawyer and tell him about the proof you have and see if you can take the boys father to court for supervised visitation due to this. So this will never happen again. For the hospital's bad decision, I don't know who you need to talk to, but you definetly need to sue them or something. Talk to your lawyer about that too. He will be able to help you. If you think your lawyer is not right, go get another opinion from another lawyer. Also go to the welfare office and file a complaint. Tell them everything that happened. If you still cannot get anyone to help, try the DEA.

I am soooooooo sorry this happened to your son! That is so sad! I would call a lawyer and see what I could do to the hospital. Take him to a psychologist and let him talk to them that will help him some. That is NOT fair to your son to live the rest of his life with this nightmare and that "idiot" is out not worrying about a thing! Good Luck!(& to your son)

So sorry for what your son went through! I would try contacting an attorney to see if a lawsuit can be filed. Consoltation is usually free. Hopefully they can take legal action....but the most important thing is your son's mental state of being. Contact your insurance and see what they'll cover for counseling for your son. Best of luck.

Oh My God! I'm so sorry..Damn nothing makes me sicker or madder than people who molest a child....go to the police,file a report,show them the statement from the first doctor...do whatever it takes but don't give up...that son of a ***** needs to be locked up so this won't happen again,also what is his father doing about it??? You can take the first doctors information and file a police report. You can also contact Social Services in your area, they might be able to help you.

take a case against the hospital,but most importantly,take legal steps to protect your son...his father failed to do this,and while his dad didn't carry out the actual abuse,he obviously wasn't vigilant enough to protect your little boy.Take heart...he is alive,he can have counseling.
