i recently replaced the emergency brake cables and the shocks and that is when the squeaking started

I bet it is in one of the rubber bushings on the shock. Are the bolts good and tight?

Could be a broken shock mount or the bushing is defective.

the bushings that hold the rear axle in place, the isolaters inbetween the springs and there mount are gone, or someone has put something squeeky in your trunk
