There's absolutely NO way to confirm the sex of your baby without an ultrasound, and even those have been proven wrong (it happened to my sister and my friend).

For every woman you meet that swears she guessed all her friend's babies correctly, there's another woman who relied on the same old wives tale and was dead wrong.

The myths persist simply because the odds are always 50/50 which are pretty darn good either way!

My midwife has delivered almost 400 babies and she says there is only ONE old wives tale out of hundreds that she thinks might have some creedence (and even then she doesn't rely on it). This one has to do with the heartbeat rate which my midwife says "tends" to be lower in boys for physiological reasons. This has actually been shown to be true in documented studies (i.e. male and female heartbeat rates differ). But there are still some baby girls in the womb that have heartbeat rates that lean towards the male range.

So nothing is certain until delivery day!

Try the Draino test instead. It has to be crystal Draino, liquid will not work...
First pee in a clean, disposable container. Should be done first thing in the morning for the best result. You don't need more than a half a cup of urine. Next, pour in a 1/2 cup of crystal Draino, and mix. If the mixture turns brown, it's a girl. If it turns blue, it's a boy.
All my pregnant friends swear this works.

no, belly shape has nothing to do with gender prediction.

I had 2 girls then a boy and I carried them all different to. A matter of fact my two girls were not the same one was high one was low. My children even kicked different ways in my belly. My belly button even looked different each time.Just be suprised it is more fun that way. I never knew the sex till they came.

heck yes if it is a boy the tummy will be round like a football and if it is a girl the lady will be big on the hips ..and another thing in boys the swelling on the body is less compared to a girl..
