A. by ignoring reality many people believe that wishful thinking (hope) will lead to better thiings or times ahead. evreyone hopes for better times especially nowadays. by simply ignoring what's going on and praying or hoping that things will get better is the only recourse for many people to revert to.

I don't like either option...
The first one is commonly referred to as "false hope".
The second one suggests that hope shows you the way to go.

My experience is that hope is what keeps you going when you can't find the way -- it''s the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. It's what motivates you to get out of bed every day and trudge ahead and forge your own path. It is knowing that when times are tough, there will be a point when you will be looking back at the experience and the lessons it taught you. That's how I made it through my separation/divorce and a more recent period of unemployment -- I just kept saying that someday it would be over and life would be less difficult (at least for a little while).

I think it is a source of strength for me to continue onward. Without hope, the wrold would be a very depressing place. Your hope and beliefs can change your perception, and your perception can change the world. In a way, this is ignoring reality.

B) i think hope is having the faith in tough times and believing in that will get you through it. hope is the belief that better times will come if you just hang on.

b.

because i need to...it would be extremely difficult to think that whatever i do will be a futile attempt. if so i might as well quit. quitting is not an option.

Both, those are two ways to put it and a 3rd is, a infinite desire to reach or fulfill something so bad you can feed your desire by going for it and with a positive attitude.
