It could be a prank. When did you find it and where? That could also answer several things or you could leave a note where they left it for you so if they go to put another one there they can get the note.

there is a good reason he signed it secret admirer, he doesn't trust you with his feelings, he likes you but thinks you are a brutal bytch who he couldn't trust his feelings to. sounds like a very lost person , it is an infatuation. think about it, how can he have feelings of love if he doesn't trust you enuf to tell you he has feelings for you. it's a double message.
