I'd say since they believe they are the "chosen people'' perhaps they also feel that the rules that apply to everyone else don't apply to them.

This assumption that jews are the chosen people is pompous, arrogant conceit. The jews have a tremendous persection complex and an "Iron Wall" mentality which basically say they must build an impregnable barrier around themselves to keep everyone else out. It is their own attitude towards other people, non-jews, that has created all of the problems the face today in the Middle East and elsewhere. They seem to think they are privileged to use as much violence against other people as they want with total impunity, and virtually EVERYTHING they do with respect to their relations with surrounding Arab countries is totally wrong. Even though their approach is all wrong, they just do not seem to get it, so they keep doing the very things that inflame and incite violence and hatred against themselves. The jews are the cause of all their own problems; they have no one else to blame.

They are setting a very bad example in Lebanon; it's more of the same behavior that gave rise to Hezbollah in the first place, so can these Israelis be so stupid to do the very thing that created Hezbollah almost 25 years ago and think the results will be any different today? They just don't get it at all. Their new aggression against Lebanon has only created more popular support for Hezbollah and more hatred against Israel, two things that will never lessen the violence and attacks against Israel. Hezbollah has been elected into the government in democratic elections, and you can bet that this latest Israeli aggression will only improve Hezbollah's position. Syria and Iran should be applauded for taking positions against Israeli terror.

Hezbollah fighters kidnapped two Israeli soldiers, when Israeli soldiers went to get them they were met with military style tactics and weapons. The Lebanese police didn’t arrest the kidnappers and they didn’t evacuate the citizens from a danger zone.
The Israelis were forced to try and get their soldiers back. When Israeli soldiers attempted this Hezbollah fighters used rockets and automatic weapons to keep the kidnapped soldiers. Several Israeli soldiers were killed in the attempt.
The wide spread fighting with the Hezbollah fighters makes them accessories to kidnapping and guilty of murder. The vast numbers of fighters should make this organized crime.
With the failure of the Lebanese police at both levels, the Israelis must do what is required to get their people returned. Military style tactics require military action to get this done. With the failure of the Lebanese police to get their people to safety, Israel can’t allow the citizens to deter them from bringing the criminals to justice.
Organized crime of this magnitude can’t be allowed to escape punishment. The Israelis must use any and all methods to bring organized crime to justice, the numbers of criminals and the firepower they have makes military action of any level to get the job done necessary. Hezbollah has a member holding the position of Speaker of the Parliament an elected position voted on by the Parliament. This must therefore be considered as a government sponsored action and any action by Israel needed to bring justice is warranted.
Hezbollah should have caught the kidnappers and sentenced them to justice. The failure of Hezbollah to capture the kidnappers and the killing of Israelis makes all the Hezbollah fighters accessories to kidnapping and guilty of murder. The shear level of the numbers of criminals, should have brought outside aide to Israel in the suppression of the Hezbollah organized crime criminals.
The failure of the worlds leaders is to their eternal shame, and that the whole world shall have to bear. Our world leaders have become cowards and not able to deal with a large organized crime syndicate. The Israelis are left to do what ever is required to bring all the criminals to justice.
Had this accrued in the US and Hezbollah hid in a neighborhood, then used rockets and automatic weapons on the same scale. The US military would level all the buildings occupied by Hezbollah and bring down the buildings with the criminals inside. As soon as the police had evacuated the citizens who were in danger.
Israel is doing no different, the law is the law and the organized crime syndicate known as Hezbollah must be brought to justice, no matter the cost. The law is clear and must be enforced.

listen here you anti-semetic piece of sh it. humans make mistakes, and we jews dont feel as if we are "chosen ppl". some of us are, and are arrogent and stuck up, but most aren't. what you dont realize is that hezbollah puts their military leaders into homes with families, in an attempt to stop the isrealies from hunting down them. well, isreal has had enough with terrorism, and frankly, they just want to eliminate the military leaders. if they could do that without putting themselves, or others in danger, believe me, they would do so. The human body is wired to make sure your life comes first, before others. that is why we fight iran, syria, hezbollah, iraq, afganistan, germany, the ussr, japan, and once britain. if you christians are so great, than why did president bush declare war on terrisom, and why did he kill thousands of innocent civilians. sh it happens, and there is nothin us "chosen people" can do about it. so why dont you go and get all of your antisemetic friends, fly over to lebanon, fing a military leader. live with him, and get the sh it blown out of you. bye.
