Because Disneyland is the happiest place on earth!
How sad for your kids that you have to ask this question. :(

Because Disney is, if nothing else, a bunch of marketing GENIUSES!!! They make the movies targeted to the kids, and then build an attraction at a park for the kids to go on, after having the Happy Meal toy for it, etc.
But, cynicism aside, it's a wonderful place to go. I would encourage you to take your children to Disney Land, it's a magical place, and to see their faces when they first walk through those gates, and see the castle at the end of Main St. is something every parent should experience.

Why? Well marketing is one way, word of mouth is another.
But what I relay feel it is one of the few places a family can go and find something for everyone. By and large you would be hard pressed to find another company that prides itself on entertainment for the whole family.
Ask yourself this, how many places geared to family entertainment continually re-invest to the extent of DW? Sure they make money, what successful business doesn't?
Until I actually went and saw the effect on my entire family, I felt the same way.
But after 3 trips I know, at least in my gut, what makes it special.

They must like to see us suffer. I live in Orlando and I don't go near Disney World and those other places. Its like a moron festival.

Brainwashing from all the ads....I remember my god child continually asking her parents to take her to "Be our guest". She didn't even know the name Disney...just the song from all those ads!
