Love fades after the trip down the altar. The chase is half the thrill. Once its gone, love loses some of its flavor. It becomes work to show love. What I used to do for my wife is now "my duty," not what was my choice. She expects certain things and gets disappointed when I don't, or can't.
It is hard to keep the flame burning...it can be done but in a different way.

Depends, My first wife and I got along alot better before we got married then everything changed. So your answer is to say it depends on the people some people get happier every day some don't my grandparents were married for 72 years. I was divorced in 2 so it depends.
