The news is still the best on Comedy Central shows -- it's much easier to distinguish the made up news from the real news than it is on FOX and sometimes CNN.
Dr. Phil is a real psychologist, unlike the sick bigoted Dr. Laura who you may have seen a couple of years ago. He seems to be a nice guy, easy to relate to, with some knowledge of clinical psychology. But I think his program is structured totally around entertainment value; little good therapy is shown. His advice is glib and breezy, like a self help book. .. funny but he seems to have written a lot of those.

Yes, whatever you think of him, Dr. Phil is a real doctor. As an aside, The Daily Show" and the "Colbert Report" may just be the most honest reporting available even if it is presented as comedy!

Dr. Phil is a straight up loser. Stephen Colbert and Jon Daily are completly legit and are funny. Dr. Phil should be shot.

How can anybody take this man seriously when he made a cameo appearance in 'Scary Movie IV'? When I need a therapist, I'll take 'Frasier' over Phil any day.

I'd say both, But I believe he is an actual doctor, I think he knows what he's talking about. But than again he's not perfect.
