The whole modesty thing is past. Today you have got to know your best qualities and sell them, without appearing too egocentric of course. Ask your former collagues, friends and family what do they think are your best qualities so you can be able to sell the employer the real you, not your image of yourself.

Just relax and be yourself. Though it might feel like a completely different game, they've only tweaked the rules a bit. It's still considered an assett to look them in the eye when talking to them and give a good hand shake.

At any age the hardest part of the whole job thing is even getting an interview. That is the hardest part of the process. As far as the interview, let them talk. Potential employers, especially start-ups are real excited people and want to talk about it. Make eye contact. Talk about things like your stability, maturity, customer service skills, your understanding of the big picture....Good Luck!

The questions that they ask you should be no different than the questions that they ask a 40 year-old. Your goal, whatever your age is, should be to sell yourself as the best candidate for the position. So, present yourself well, brush up on the company, and make sure that you get across your skills and knowledge in relation to that job. You want them to believe you are the best fit for the job.

Good luck!

My Dad who is 71 was facing a similar problem. What he chose to do was join me in a home business that earns him residual income. As a result of doing this, he is now earning an income from home, receiving tax benefits and still has the freedom to travel. Starting with a small investment, he received a paycheque his second month in the business and is having a great time building that up each month. I offer the same dedication to everyone in my group to ensure that they meet their goals.

You're selling a product, yourself, to a potential buyer, the employer. You need to sell the employer on your skills and experience. They have a need and you must be able to fulfill the need.

Good luck!

The question you need to ask yourself is: what do I bring to this company? How can I help them achieve their goals?

Just like when you were 20, the principles remain the same. They don't care about you, they care about how you can help them. Focus on their needs.
