My sciatic nerve has been a problem since I was in a car accident over four years ago. I have been to the hospital and to doctor's, but their solution is pain medication that makes me feel out of it. Are there any home remedies out there? I could really use it- especially today!

I've healed my sciatic pain with acupuncture, chiropractic and Hellerwork.

I had sciatic pain for over a year. Sometimes the pain got so bad I had to quit whatever I was doing and lay down on my back with my knees up and feet on the floor. It was the only thing I could on my own that helped. I get a flare up about once every year or two now and I self-treat with massage.

Acupuncture and chiro helped in the short term and Hellerwork sealed the deal.

My dad recieved toradol shots when his sciatic nerve was bothering him and that seemed to help relieve him some. Although, nothing will ever take the pain away completely.
Good Luck =)

Kristen, I can sympathise with you! My sciatica recurrs every eight months or so. I just smoke some good weed, and do all the excersizes the Physical Therapist taught me, sometimes to excess.
Good luck, and get well soon!

See if you can find an osteopathic doctor (instead of MD after their name it says DO) and make sure he does manipulations and cranial sacral work. Should help you get rid of the pain.

rotate ice and heat,,,my husband had a spinal injection of cortisone but didn't help...that's a serious problem,,,try checking to see if there are any back clinics in your area,,,,no chiropractor ,,they'll only make it worse
