is it better to use the USB wire or the regular CATV wire? Is there a difference? Is one faster, better?

use the RJ 45 (network cable) if you plan to use a router you can't use the usb connection. also the RJ45 is faster and does not take processes from your PC.

If you mean USB or ethernet, use the ethernet if you have a card in your computer it can plug into. Ethernet is faster and more dependable than USB.

The only real advantage to USB is you don't need an ethernet card - it plugs directly into your computer's USB port. If your computer doesn't have an ethernet card, use USB.

I'd go with the cat-5 option because there isn't any need for extra drivers. In many cases the cat-5 option is more stable. The cat-5 method is also more flexible because you can have more configurations and longer/custom cable lengths.

The CAT5 cable is better because then you don't have to install any drivers that mess with the connection sometimes. Plus, it's faster and easier to set up.

I would use an ethernet cable hooked up into the computer, it's faster.
