I've totally given up on using floppy disks. Flash drives are MUCH more reliable becuase they can take a much greater beating than a floppy disk can, they are smaller, can hold MUCH more data than a floppy disk can, and are also much smaller and easier to carry with you.

Flash drives are still susceptible to EM interference, but not as much as old floppys were.

Plus they have waaaaay bigger storage capacities.

um...i dunno about a or b but they are used these days because they can hold more data than a floppy. view sources for more info.
