In October we are in the spring , in spite that here are in the winter and it is very hot.

In Rio it will be spring and not too hot compared to their December and Januarary.

If you are below the equator, they are going into their spring. In the tropical area, they have just ended their wet "winter" season and are entering the dry season.

depends on where in brazil you are going to. if to the south, it's spring. if to the north, it's the beginning of dry season.
