i have been using windows media player to syncronize the songs into my ipod and it tells me that they are in my ipod but when i disconnect the USB cable and check if the songs are there they are not there!!! plz help me!

The iPod user's manual says that the only way to transfer songs into your iPod is to have it on iTunes on your computer, then transfer it by the USB cable provided. A copy of iTunes is included in the package, and it doesn't take long to install on your computer.

you need to use itunes. I think the songs from windows media player are the wrong format for your ipod

Yup, go online and download iTunes. It's tricky to switch over at first, but you'll wind up loving it. You might have to convert some of your music files to .mp3's so iTunes will read them right, but you can do that right within iTunes. Good luck!

get the ipod manual and download itunes. its a bit complicating to use itunes at first if you don't read certain parts of the manual to understand how to do it.

when you first get it it should have an itunes cd to install it you have to use itunes
