they put the dough around the fig just like other candy the put a small amount on the bottom and let it cook while it is cooking they add the fig and then more dough that is why it is darker on the bottom. This is also the same method used for different flavored ice cream but they use a freezer

well it is not a whole fig. it is figs mashed up on a huge sticky conveyor belt. it is full of spider legs and wings and things like that when you look at it under a microscope because the sweet smell attracts insects and they stick to it tearing off thier limbs as they struggle to get away. the biscuit is warm and also on a conveyor belt and the mix is spread on and a machine cuts then rolls them. anything else you need to know just ask

or bake one part put the fig in then bake on the top idk im not sure but good question
