I'm Jewish and not an expert on the Christian Bible.
But I seem to remember that Jesus went voluntarily to Tyre and wasn't chased there. (Somewhere in Matthew, I believe).
What I do know, is the there have been many attacks by Muslims on Jewish and Christian holy sites throughout the area. For example, in 2002, a group of PLO took cover in the Church of the Nativity and held 200 priests and nun hostage. Bad boys.
Israel was careful NOT to damage the church.

Lebanon is a country, government and society controlled and commanded by Hezbollah, its sponsors (Iran and Syria) and others funding Hezbollah (too many to name). Israel, to prevent rocket attacks and kidnappings and other attacks on civilian/military targets, is attempting to neutralize Hezbollah within Lebanon, and also the sources of money, food, clothing, water, munitions and other support for Hezbollah that might be coming from outside Lebanon. Also, there are two Israeli soldiers in Hezbollah's custody after the kidnapping. By destroying all methods of exit from Lebanon, Israel hampers Hezbollah's ability to get the soldiers out of Lebanon, making it (theoretically) easier to find and recover these soldiers, within Lebanon.
Basically, Israel's tired of being the lone non-Islamic nation in the region that is reminded of this by constant bombing, terror, kidnapping and other b/s. This is their way of saying enough is enough, if you're going to be a nation on Israel's borders, you're going to have to maintain peaceful borders and get the radical, crazed, suicidal, homicidal elements controlling your country- OUT.
What's happened is the leaders of Lebanon (political) are praising Hezbollah resistance (to an enemy of Hezbollah's choosing in a conflict Hezbollah instigated). Israel realizes her neighbor to the north has absolutely no intent or ability to squash Hezbollah, and so rather than whine and moan in a negotiating room to get someone who doesn't like you to do something they don't want to do, Israel's just mowing their neighbor's yard some.
As far as Jesus' involvement, well, he'd likely say that the complete disregard for life (some intentional, some incidental) is indicative of the base nature of man, rather than the ultimate potential of man. What Tyre has to do with Jesus has to do with the current conflict, I can't tell you. What I can tell you is that since the British Mandate ended in the Mid-East, the Jewish and Arab factions in power have made a complete and utter mess of their situations. It is likely time for an international force to manage the entire region, which you see slowly happening, in Iraq, Afghanistan and soon Lebanon. If peace is what is sought in this region, it makes sense to put people in place who are interested in peace, not two sides engaged in a provocation/reaction cycle that is tiresome yet dangerous to the rest of the world.

Hezbollah fighters kidnapped two Israeli soldiers, when Israeli soldiers went to get them they were met with military style tactics and weapons. The Lebanese police didn’t arrest the kidnappers and they didn’t evacuate the citizens from a danger zone.
The Israelis were forced to try and get their soldiers back. When Israeli soldiers attempted this Hezbollah fighters used rockets and automatic weapons to keep the kidnapped soldiers. Several Israeli soldiers were killed in the attempt.
The wide spread fighting with the Hezbollah fighters makes them accessories to kidnapping and guilty of murder. The vast numbers of fighters should make this organized crime.
With the failure of the Lebanese police at both levels, the Israelis must do what is required to get their people returned. Military style tactics require military action to get this done. With the failure of the Lebanese police to get their people to safety, Israel can’t allow the citizens to deter them from bringing the criminals to justice.
Organized crime of this magnitude can’t be allowed to escape punishment. The Israelis must use any and all methods to bring organized crime to justice, the numbers of criminals and the firepower they have makes military action of any level to get the job done necessary. Hezbollah has a member holding the position of Speaker of the Parliament an elected position voted on by the Parliament. This must therefore be considered as a government sponsored action and any action by Israel needed to bring justice is warranted.
Hezbollah should have caught the kidnappers and sentenced them to justice. The failure of Hezbollah to capture the kidnappers and the killing of Israelis makes all the Hezbollah fighters accessories to kidnapping and guilty of murder. The shear level of the numbers of criminals, should have brought outside aide to Israel in the suppression of the Hezbollah organized crime criminals.
The failure of the worlds leaders is to their eternal shame, and that the whole world shall have to bear. Our world leaders have become cowards and not able to deal with a large organized crime syndicate. The Israelis are left to do what ever is required to bring all the criminals to justice.
Had this accrued in the US and Hezbollah hid in a neighborhood, then used rockets and automatic weapons on the same scale. The US military would level all the buildings occupied by Hezbollah and bring down the buildings with the criminals inside. As soon as the police had evacuated the citizens who were in danger.
Israel is doing no different, the law is the law and the organized crime syndicate known as Hezbollah must be brought to justice, no matter the cost. The law is clear and must be enforced.
