the pussycat dolls, dixie chicks are my friend's who is sitting next to me i like aly and aj and kelly larkson (i know shes not a band but shes my fave!) and i kinda like rascal flatts and SheDAISY (a country band)

The Beatles, hands down. They changed rock aand roll forever, and are complete legends. They have so many beloved songs, and are really all amazing vocalists and musicians. Their songs covered a huge variety of genres, and marked the way for other bands to follow with the psychadelic sounds, including the Beach Boys, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd. They have had more hit singles than any other artist or band in history, and if you include hit singles by the ex-Beatles in their solo career, the number of Top 40 singles is around 100. The Beatles are simply amazing.

Woah! I have lots on that one. Bu here are some that will remain my favorites on top of all the other bands: The Doors, The Beatles, ABBA, and Blondie. I personally think that oldies music (like, from these bands and singers from the 30s, 40s, and 50s) are in some ways better than today's music. Some of my friends agree too, because nowadays there's a lot of cussing, unappealing themes, and it's bad sometimes for little kids to listen to. But don't get me wrong -- I still like listening to some of today's pop music (like Jesse McCartney!!!).
