Well, it doesn't really count as a 'habit,' but the most annoying thing at work is the air conditioning - I'm freezing!!!
How do I respond? I keep a sweater on the back of my chair and an extra pair of clean socks in the drawer in case I wear sandals that day.
Other than that, I really can't complain about anything or anyone at work!

1. people who talk constantly & simply cannot STFU no matter how hard you are trying to work, just gossip and blabbermouthing about the funny thing their cat did or how incredibly cute this guy they met at the bar is, blah blah blah. I just find a good place to interrupt & say, "this really doesn't have anything to do with me. I don't need to know this. I have work to do, and you do too." luckily, I'm in a position where i can tell someone to go to work & they pretty much have to do it.
2. people who think they need to MARINATE in perfume/cologne. if I can go into your office after you've been gone 5-10 minutes & it still reeks, you really are using too much. I put out some memos about allergies and stuff like that, seemed to cut down on it a bit...

The most annoying habit is the amount of gossip that goes on. I try not to get involved, especially when it gets really personal or nasty. If someone tries spreading it to me, I usually will come up with something that makes the person feel bad about what they are saying. Some people have gotten to the point that they don't come to me with gossip anymore, which is great.

There's alot actually I work with these people 40 hours a week. I work for reservations and we ask the guest 'How many adults and children in your party"? One person says "how many adults how many KIDS" It sounds so unprofessional! Then another one is when people eat on the phone when they are talking to guests. That's very unprofessional as well! I could go on and on really!!!! !!!

People who are constantly off sick, especially when they know it's a busy time, or stock-take day and it's all hands on deck. Lateness. Bullying, and this business of huddling in a corner and having a b-itch or gossiping.
