The past is the past. Let it be. I didn't say 'forget the past' but goodness...move on from it.

Make a difference not thru going on a rampage to seek, kill and destroy...but go on a rampage to see, educate and employ.

I am exhausted by so many of the posts from white, black, hispanic and all others saying 'this race' does that and 'that race' does this. If that's how you feel its a shame....but please
don't come to this board and act as a spokesperson for your race...or in this case "The African American Race" in America because I know for certain I did not elect you to be my voice of reasoning.

So with your question...what would avengence accomplish? Wouldn't it be more logical and victorious to exhaust that energy into something positive be it --> figuring out a solution to educate at risk youths in African American communities, or teaching the community how to get the most out of investing. How about exposing 'our people' to the arts beyond 50 cent and Jay Z...or setting up community forums that encourage 'our people' to vent their frustrations in a form of upliftment not resentment?

Would this not be a better solution? Hmm....

Because WE didn't do anything to them. I didn't and neither did anyone else who answers this question. If you did that, it would be like the US government arresting the great-great grandson of John Wilkes Booth for killing Lincoln. My family never owned slaves (that I know of) nor would I ever have condoned such a thing. I was horrified to find out that my grandfather (not blood-related, just married into my family before I was born) may have been a member in the KKK. I cannot fathom the idea of punishing someone because of what their relatives did over 140 years ago. What an ignorant train of thought.

of color remember slavery lasted 420+ years that's multiple

generations millions of whites that participated ,you don't get that

kind of participation with out it coming from within

racism is a survival mechanism for them.If they weren't in a

position of power they would be gone already

really, we'll let this one slide, because the way i see it. It was really the asians/arabs that started the whole racism thing back when they invaded Egypt. White people just took it to another level. but thats OK they will get what's coming to them. They took African's and spread our dominant genes all around the world (thanks guys, we'll take it from here) its only a matter of time before white people are genetically wiped out by black and brown people. So I say just let nature take its course.

Never. I've never owned a slave, so why should I be punished for something that happened two hundred years ago. Besides look what the American people did to the German and Irish immigrants, forcing them to work for next to nothing digging canals and having to live in crowded tennements. Is that not a form of slavery?

I think it should be right now. Start a race war while whitey still outnumbers them 3 to 1. Then we can "settle" the whole race issue for good.

When they can lay they hands (or subpoenas) on the individuals responsible.

In this country, we don't hold people responsible for what their great-great-grandparents did. It's called "punishment by corruption of blood" and it's not allowed under our constitution.
