Just wondering what the general public would think. It would work sort of like a tupperware party where one person hosts it and invites a bunch of friends over. each person would get a little makeup bag and be taught how to properly apply each product. We thought it might be a good idea, as we notice a lot of girls love makeup, but have NO idea how to wear it..
What do you think?

~I'm 23 and a makeup artist. And trust me... most older women have NO idea what they're doing. It hurts not to approach people in public and be like here's my card, I'm a makeup artist, PLEASE call me.

~no, we wouldn't be selling makeup, so we don't need anyone else... we're professionals. After spending like $16 000 on tuition, I'm pretty confidant I know what I'm doing without bringing my mother!

Thats a great idea. Pull in a professional. Raise some money to hire them, and have all the girls learn. Maybe about 5 girls? Ask the people in the mall if they know anyone and what the price range would be. The girls could hold a car wash for money and go from there.

I don't think that you have to worry about older women being offended that you were teaching them how to apply make-up. I mean, think about it. Everyday someone is going to a department store to get a make-over by professionals, and everyday tons of women are holding make-up parties just like that but with Mary Kay, so I think it's a good idea. I woud certainly go. Can I be invited? jk

There are many professional women that do this without a charge -- bring you moms, they might buy some makeup for both of you. eg: Mary Kay, Artisans (Amway cosmetics) Have Fun - they are a BLAST.
