She had the IVF procedure 4 weeks ago. She went to the Dr. for an ultra sound with the probe, and they did not see a heartbeat. They called her later on with the results of her blood tests. Her numbers are still going up. The nurse said they want her to come back Tuesday at a time when the Dr will be there. She is frantic, should she be worried, that she is loosing the baby?

Well if her numbers are going up then thats somewhat of a good sign..Also could it be too early for the heartbeat to be seen..Give it some time and tell her not to worry too much..Stress will only make it worse..i wish you and your daughter the best of luck!

well i was 4 months pregnant and started spotting, they told me i was going to miscarry, said the baby was coming undone from my uterus.well i stop bleeding went to a different hosp.and the done a blood test my numbers were high, they said your still pregnant, so they sent me to someone else, come to find out there was no baby i was just carring the bag, and had all the systoms of a pregnant women.the doctors told me that there are very few women that now that cause most of the time you miscarry it's just like having a period, but my sack wouldn't turn loses it just keep on growing.i couldn't beleave it .so if they doin't hear a heart beat it could be that.

Ok 1st of all that is WAY to early to even hear a heart beat. 2nd if her numbers are rising then that is a good thing. If she would be losing the baby then the numbers would stay the same or go down. Tell her not to worry. Stress is not good

OMG... there is NO WAY at 4 weeks an ultrasound would show a heartbeat EVER! at 4 weeks they can't even tell you're pregnant with a vaginal ultrasound!!! THAT is why they did the blood test! SHE IS FINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! don't let her get all worked up over the ultrasound!

I don't have personal experience with IVF, but if there was no heartbeat, is there a baby to lose?

if her hormon going up so dont worry ..the furst ultra i had the doctor coulnt see the fetus cause my ovaries were so big..ket her wait till she have another ultra sound..good luck/
