There is no dought that had Bush Not taken the steps to protect us he did after 9/11 then we would still be picking bodies out of the Atlantic Ocean

Good Question! Not sure we will continue to be protected. Bushs' Homeland Security Will change with the change in Presidency since it is in the Presidents Cabinet. It has become very large, there are questions of it's effectiveness. What I hate is his insenistivity "We are fighting terrorism over there so we don't have to fight them here" Can't imagine Iraqis appreciating that. Also his statement reguarding disarming Hezbbollah. The Hezbbollah political wing has been active wirh social programs building schools and hospitals. The Hezbbollah milita has patroled the border since Israel withdrew from Lebanon. The Hezbbollah won"t give up their arms without a fight. So Bushs' demand could be interpetted "What's he trying to do? Start a Civil War in Lebanon??" Is it TOO much To expect US president to be very careful with his statements???

You can thank the Brits and the Pakistanis for that little bit of solid Police Work. That is the key, this is a war that is waged by our police, and the military adventurism has been a disaster in Iraq. I really do wish he had stopped with Afghanistan. We were way ahead of the game back then. That one went text-book perfect.

I for one, think that his actions will leave a bloody fingerprint on the world for a long time to come, regardless of who the president is after Bush crawls back into whatever hole he emerged from.

I think the fact that we've had no terrorist attacks happen in America since 9/11 is more due to luck than anything, sadly.
