it all depends on how fast you drive. if you are driving 5 miles/hour, than no. But if you are driving 60 mph, than yes it is a true statement.

This is true if you are traveling at 60 mph
Use the formula D=R*T
D = distance, prolly your radius
R = rate, prolly miles per hour
T = Time, must be same units as your rate, so hours
1 mile = Rate * 1 minute
Rate = 1 mile per minute
60 minutes in an hour, so 1 mile/minute = 60 miles/hour
If you're driving slower you will go less than a mile a minute, and if faster, then more!

if you are driving at a rate of 60mph that holds true. you can also figure it as an average if you are driving on freeways and through towns some areas might have a limit of 75mph and others 45mph the time spent driving at different speeds could be averaged to 60mph for the whole trip, that would depend on the total distance traveled divided by the total time spent (in miles/hours)

If you're going 60 miles per hour, every minute you drive will equal one mile.
Going faster or slower will not give you the same results.
