a mix of cardio and flor ab excercises. Crunches work, but you want to do variations of them. Try a plank move too. balance yourself on your toes and forearms making your body completely parallel with the ground. hold that for 30 sec two times a day

Definitely crunches, but beware! Many feel that crunches alone (or any other excercise) will give a 6-pack. Not so. You must include a fat-burning diet in your routine.
Reason? Your abdominal muscles are in an area that also is a haven for fat accumulation. You can actually have your abs in great shape, but have a thick layer of fat on top of them. In this case, you will not be able to see the results. By burning excess fat, your abs will easily show thru the very thin layer of fat and skin, showing off your results.

Regular crunches suck! The best exercises are the bicycle crunch, the vertical leg crunch, and the reverse crunch. Go to //exercise.about.com/od/abs/ss/abexercises or just go to //about.com/health/ and find the ab page, this will explain and show pics on how to do them.. Unless you go to a gym and that gym has a captains chair machine, these exercises are the best. But you have to do other cardio like running, walking, or some aerobics and eat good in order to have full effect over time.

Bicycle situps work both upper and lower abs. Lie on your back and put your feet in the air so that your thghs are perpendicular to your body and bend your knees so that your shins are parallel to the floor.
Place your hands behind ur head. Then move your body upwards and your legs inward to try to touch your left elbow to your right knee. Then repeat using right elbow and left knee. If done properly, your legs will look like you are pedalling a bicycle.
Each time you touch your elbow to opposite knee, you have done the same amount of work as 3 stomach crunches.
