God is a myth, but let's suppose that he is not and the bible is true.
ericbrame: the verse you quoted does not condemn homosexuality. It condemns all forms of anal sex. How do I know? I know Greek fluently amongst several other languages (Hebrew included).
The Greek talks about 'malakoi' - those who are soft or effiminate. The abuse is not specific but probably refers to anal sex. So nowhere in the new testament does your 'god' condemn homosexuality. In other words, it's okay to be gay but butt-sex is wrong. Not only between a man and a man but between a man and a woman. Get it boy? You are not allowed to shove your member up your girlfriend's ***! That's what this verse in Corinthians is referring to.
Now let's go to the old testamant and see what it says there. The Hebrew states it is an abomination for a man to lie with a man as he does with a woman. Did you get this? It's again talking about butt-sex. Anything else that happens between a man and a woman is also permissible for men only. Okay, so what do homos do in this case? Well, they probably end up fellating each other or kissing or cuddling or doing everything else except butt-sex.
Okay, so why does the bible condem butt-sex? Oh heck, I don't really care but if I were to guess, I'd say it is because butt-sex is dirty, dangerous and risky. Now days, many homos are able to give themselves a thorough colon wash and they have lube and condoms so it's less riskier but still not advisable.
I am gay. I don't like butt-sex (either way). So ericbrame, please post your comments in the religion and spirituality section in future. Cheers!

I wondered that myself, ya know?! lol... There's TOO MANY RELIGIOUS NUTS OUT HERE!! They need educating:
Homosexuality is NOT NOT NOT a CHOICE. It is by NATURE.
Not everyone is a christian, so your belief system isn't everyone's.
Being gay is not a threat to anyone else's way of life.
If you want to get the bible - remember that YOU are NOT to judge others. God will not be mocked.
P.S. - If god DIDN'T want homosexuality to happen:
1. Why is it HAPPENING? He created ALL things start to finish.
2. Why do MEN have a prostrate gland up their @sses where a PENIS can reach for pleasure?
3. Why are women much more compatible together? Women give other women the best sex, emotional support and intellectual stimulation among other things on the same page.
And men know how to make men happy quite well. Same sex couples have lots in common. Just something to think about.

If so, he really failed on that one considering only about 3% of the population is gay... and the fact that a bunch of gay people have kids!!! Seems to me there are a lot more ugly people out there that could have been a better bet as BC!!!

No. Gay guys produce sperm just like straight guys. Lesbians have eggs and a monthly menstrual cycle just like straight ladies. In other words, homos can make babies.
Also, some straight men and women cannot have biological children because of impotence or diabetes or some other medical reason.

Natural selection is just idiots dying.
Gay parents can still have kids, who will have their morales and values (hopefully, if you're not crappy parents) carried on with their kid, and their kid could end up having more kids and doing this, blahblahblah.
The less people in the world, the better though, because that means there are less idiots.

and to ericbrame - you're stupid if you think it's a choice, sorry to be so harsh but how could you possibly know what it's like to be gay unless you are and just chose the easy straight life and are living a life full of self hatred.
