My mother feeds the hedgehogs in her garden. Hedgehog poo is definitly a lot more pongy. Also, they go on her patio and leave streak marks behind. Presumably where they are so low to the ground they just catch it, hence the streaks.

A cat is signficantly larger than a hedgehog. My guess is that hedgehog poo is pretty small, tiny, even. It might be like little pellets or a mini version of dog poo. They probably have very tiny butt holes so it wouldn't be too thick...maybe pencil thick little logs?

Done some looking up. Hedgehog poo is saltier. Compare what you have with cat poo, but don't breathe on anyone afterwards

Hedgehog poo is usually very sticky, almost glue-like. If it seems sticky and gooey on a stick, it is probably hedgehog poo. Seriously.

I don't think you'd ever see "the piles" from cats. Theirs don't pile up. And as many pointed out, you don't see them also because cats cover them up well. As a matter of fact they are so particular that if they can't cover it up for some reason (like hard dirt), they get so upset that they won't come back to the same place.

Hedgehog doo-doos are very distinctive because they are full of seeds. They eat fallen fruits and other seeds lying around and are also much smaller than those of cats.Cat poo is similar in consitency to human excreta.
