Honestly - Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point is probably your best bet. Only because there are 2 luxury resorts located there which have installed million dollar water filtration systems (The Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel and the St. Regis Monarch Beach). You will probably get sick if you go anywhere else. Or - San Diego has some decent places as well. La Jolla, Carlsbad, Encinitas....

I agree with the answer above... If you want the cleanest beaches, you'll have to go to Southern Orange County. I would say Salt Creek is the best, and around San Clemente. The problem with So. OC though is that while the beaches are awesome, the area sucks. If you plan on staying there, be prepared for suburban sleeper-towns. No night life, etc.

Forget huntington, hit up either hermosa or manhattan, or head down to san diego and any beach in la jolla is sweet
