Nursing is where it's at right now!
Respiratory therapists also make good money then there is occupational therapist, speech therapist, chiropractor, pharmacy positions, MD, physician's assistant, surgical tech, phlebotomist, tons of different positions in diagnostic medicine (like x-ray tech ect). Good luck!
**and just to address the "nurses do all the work, doctors make all the money" comment, I know many many doctors that wished they had become a nurse practitioner instead! after all the education, residency, long long long hours being tied to the hospital and then the hefty sums payed out for malpractice, nurse practitioner is a better option for a lot of people. minus a little glamor of being called doctor of course.

I used to tell my daughter... if you want to be a nurse, then be a Dr. ...the Dr.s get all the money, and the nurses do all the work! But lets see how many positions I can think of... Podiatrist, Medical assistant, Pediatrician, Lab Tech., X-ray, ultra sound, dietician, urologist, proctologist, neurologist, ...I gotta go now, hope this helps.

they said nurses get paid over eighteen dollars per hour. I said if you want to get to medical field, doctor is the only field you should go. Because it's has the pay and respect of the job. sure, it's more time and study but it's will paid off eventually. Also, you can work late into your retirement years if you want to.

you may wanna tell us what's your passion. what role you want to play in the medical sector - from front end as a nurse or back end, supporting or operational?
and remember the qualifications & experience required in the fields you have on hand.
