Hi. I am trying to install my webcam (IBM PC camera) and after I run the installation, and then click on the icon, I get this message: "Your program is making an invalid dynamic link call to a .dll file" Pardon my ignorance, but what does that even mean and what do I do to correct it?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch and I hope everyone is having a great day!!!

The 2nd and 3rd answers are great. However (I should have mentioned this, sorry), I have uninstalled and reinstalled it several times and I still get the same message. Could it be that maybe the camera itself is broken?

An Invalid Dynamic Link Call error message is the result of an incompatibility between driver versions, or a damaged or missing driver. Check the website to see if they have released an updated driver for that camera.
Try uninstalling and then reinstalling the software for the webcam.

Something went wrong during the installation. Use the "Safely Remove Hardware" to remove the webcam from your computer. You can locate the "safely remove hardware" wizard by clicking the small arrow down at the notification area (by the system clock in the bottom right corner of you taskbar). Right click on it and open it then follow the directions, remove the webcam only when you are told it is safe to do so. It is not difficult at all. If you don't use this wizard you can cause harm to your system.

Now, go into Add/Remove and remove the software for the Webcam.

Now, put the CD into the drive and follow the instructions for installing the software and drivers. When it tells you hook the webcam back up to your computer.

Now try using the webcam again. It should work now. Good luck and have a nice day!
