they sorta look like bats, but one got actually in the fireplace, where u burn wood, and we got it out. it was a small black bird. Please if anyone knows any ideas. besides burning them out. do let me know. they are driving me crazy. They are very annoying!

Chimney people can install a covering over the top of your chimney. They can also put a trap door over the top which you can close when you want or open when you're burning wood.

Go on the roof to where the chimney is and install wire screen around the opening
