What law? The French Foreign Legion still recruits from any Nation, as do many other organizations in the world. Laws are not international, treaties are. I know of no treaty that states that you cannot fight for another country. Buy a copy of Soldier of Fortune Magazine or visit http://www.sofmag.com for recruitment ads.

It's not illegal to sell your services to another country. Contractors and consultants do that all the time.

There are rules about mis-representing yourself as being an official part of a nations armed forces when you are not. Other than that, each country's laws are different.

If it is then Israel has committed yet another crime. They have thousands of hired mercenaries fighting their unjust war in Lebanon. Probably because so many soldiers are refusing to kill innocents.

Well being a mercenary is being a non-Government affiliated soldier, so you definition of mercenary is wrong any way.

Contracted security officials in Iraq are mercenaries, and if you relinquish your US citizenship you can join whatever military you please.,.... GOOD LUCK
