We live in Wisbech Cambridgeshire does anyone know of an ideal school for our autistic sons aged 7 & 11?

Our eldest son has aspergers and adhd. He is 11 and has no secondary school to go to this sept. We are going to appeal for a school as the local school would be wrong for him. He couldnot cope there. We would like a school that deals with autistic children. Our youngest has adhd and autism especially sensory problems. We need help to learn about his needs to be able to help him. He has balance and body awareness problems. He also swears. He shouts rather than talks and says what he thinks. He is a very touchy feely person.

First of all I admire you for being there for these children , I have had a quick look on the net (using the words "autism education" on a yahoo search) and cant seem to find a school that is suitable for your children . Just a couple of thoughts I have that may help you .

Try looking to government websites , autism websites ...although you will probably have to sift through all the stuff you dont want to know .

Another possibility maybe to see the education authority in your area ( you probably already tried this but its just a thought )

or maybe get in touch with your local MP ..

NOT HELPFUL I KNOW, BUT...
I've been to Wishbech and the locals I met on a static caravan site told me they call it Whizz Beach because that's the drug of preference in the area! I had a mad Mushroom trip there, where I spent about six hours watching a documentary on the landscape of Scotland, filmed from a helicopter, on a RADIO.
That was donkey's years ago though. They're most probably more into crack these days. Huh, progress: who needs it!
