No. Saddam did not fund Al-Qaeda. Iran did. I know it's easy to get them confused, one letter apart and all.

And most of the terrorists on the 9/11 planes were from Saudi Arabia.

Bush just didn't like Saddam, because of that thing with his father. And Iraq was (theoretically) an easier target than Iran, since it was still recovering from the first Gulf War. Little did we know that our presence after deposing Saddam would plunge Iraq into a sectarian civil war. Ooops.

But to answer your first question, we (as a country) became the terrorist when our leaders started ignoring our own Constitution, committing war crimes (see 18 USC 2441), and generally acting like the neighborhood bully.

A terrorist is someone who uses force and fear to control a population to serve their own private agenda. And that's exactly what our current government has been doing these past few years.

The US is the 800lb gorilla and the world is in our cage. The rest of the world is full of weenies, and they're jealous of our strength, wealth, and military power!

The most they can do is throw rocks, and they just bounce off. We swat the terrorists plans 90% of the time and that pisses them off.

The Arabs have been fighting someone for over 5000 years and to think that they know any other way now is stupid. Maybe should just swat one Arab nation and make a practical demonstration of the US miliatry power.

We can blow away entire nations, without Nuclear weapons, we have MOABs. 22,000lb conventional smart bombs with nuke blast power but NO radiation.

M…..Mother
O…..of
A…..all
B…..bombs

WE have Tomahawks with fuel-air explosive war heads. The big Tomahawks can carry 10 war heads. They can burn entire cities with fuel-air explosive.

First the MOAB, when the shock wave clears, in comes the Tomahawk. The entire city is flattened and then burned with fuel-air explosive. The fuel-air explosive burns everything left and it burns off all the oxygen. There is no way to survive!

With our satellites we can target every Arab city in any terrorist nation, and then lock them all into a firing solution. Then at 3am any morning the order was given, every Arab city targeted could be blown clean off the face of the Earth, all at the same time.

We could land our troops 30 minutes later and own the entire nation. There wouldn’t even be anyone left to shoot at our soldiers. The only thing that would be left are giant smoking holes in the sand. Maybe then the other nations would say “ What ever you do don’t piss off the Americans! They can blow away our whole nation with the push of a button, just like they did to those stupid Arabs!” Maybe being “ Dust in the Wind” would stop all stupid BS America bashing. At least to our face, what they to themselves behind our backs doesn’t matter.

I'm not saying this would be a good thing! It's not! But it may be the only thing they will really understand. Ben Laudin said we lacked the will to fight, maybe we should show him and all the Arabs what a US Jihad looks like!

I am not sure were you get your sources from. But Saddam and Bin laden had no relationship. Yes Saddam was oppressive to his people and was happy about 9/11. But he had nothing to do with it. And also he had no weapons of Mass destruction. His only violation of UN resolutions was related to his missiles(conventional) having 10-20miles more range than was was allowed.

Though Bush keeps saying this, 2 congress reports on pre and post war intelligence say Saddam had no connection and had WMDs. So I guess you can not argue with the congress.

So basically the US invaded Iraq for fictitious reasons. As for getting rid of Saddam. Iraqis now feel in retrospect that he was not so bad when compared with their current circumstances. And if the US truly cared about the Iraqi people, then you would not have Abu Ghareib.

we have terrorized and killed far more inncocent civilians over the past 5, 25, 50 years than all of the "terrorist" organizations and Saddam combined. Those are the facts. You are completely ignoring our history in Central America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. 911 was nothing compared to what we have done in Nicaragua, Vietnam, Cambodia, Lebanon, and Iraq.

Everywhere where we see terrorism now is a place that we have put our finger in and screwed up previously.

The arguments can go back and forth without end. It is said that if you are angry, the whole world will seem angry. War is a manifestation of the collective consciousness that is still primitive, regardless of wealth or poverty. I think we can best help the world situation greatly if we, on an individual basis, seek to BE peace. The ripple effect. It's working. However, not everyone will understand this.

Saddam funded no terrorist! It was us that funded Saddam, made sure he got weapons, and provided him with gas which we wanted him to use on Iran. WE put him in power!!

There is a small difference when a country attacks the world and one that we attacked with no provocation, so quite the BS!!

Most of the world sees us as terrorists! We sure have killed enough innocent Iraqi's, while we weren't raping, burning, and torturing them!

i agree that we should defend ourselves, but you forget that the US installed and supported hussein and also equipped the Taliban (and alQuaeda) to fight the Russians during the cold war. We gave these murderers weapons and money because we wanted them to do our dirty work. We do have some blood on our hands. Nobody is innocent in this except the civilians caught in the middle of terrible foreign policy decisions.

Some people love to hate us. They have a twisted view on the world. Somehow we are responcible for everyone else in the world. We arn't & i don't care what we have to do to make this a safe place for my kids lets do it. I would be fine with liquidating the entire middle east. I will still sleep well at night
