Not necessarily.
Joint legal custody means you both have a say in major decisons in the kids lives.
Joint physical custody mean you both have physical custody although at different times. (otherwise you might simply have visitation)
Child support is based on a formula that uses your income, your ex-spouses income, the number of children and how equal the time is divided between the two of you.... More than likely the person making the most will have to pay unless they also keep them most of the time.

Depends if the child resides primarily w/ one parent. Joint custody means parents have more equal rights, having the child with him/her per a joint schedule. He/She would be assured rights to have the child during their appointed times and every other holiday and Father's Day/Mother's Day, & every other of the child's birthdays, etc. ... by law.
It could extend all the way to equal time at each parents home. And money would be split for daycare/health care and no one paying actual support to the other, in some cases.

No it's just that you both share custody of the child together. You may end up getting child support especially if you have no other means of support.

No. Joint custody is both parents having their parental rights. One having physical custody and the other visitations. The physical custodian receives the support.

It sounds to me that money is your motivation for custody. if the man has joint custody and has the children as much as you then he is supporting the children while with him equally. You shouldnt want any child support. Oh I forgot. You are a woman. Its all about the money.

No, you have to go to court TODAY and submitt a petition for child support.
Joint custody means that you have to make major decisions with him. As for example, if he picks up your child at school or at the babysitter without your permission you can't press charges for kidnapping because you have joint custody.
It also means, that you can't move out of state or take vacations out of state without permission from the court.
It also means, that if your child has an emergency he could make decisions for YOU!!
yeah , it really sucks!

No, there will be a primary residential custodial parent who the children will live with. That person should get child support unless you live close enough that you are sharing the living arrangements and spliting it equally.

no.. it means that the child spends some time with both parents.. but normally the court will grant the mother child support.. of course depending on where you are from.. you should contact an attorney.
