I was told that too. I asked a 87 year old nun and she said "What a load of old tat!"
I have been celibate for 12 years now and have no problems with my womb.
Don't know who said it first, nor why so many people believe it.
Actually I was also told that celibacy can cause ovarian cancer!
Dear oh dear! Why does everyone think we should be having sex all the time? Or even some of the time?
Hope you get a better and more informative answer than this, as I also would like to know what the fuss is about!

Maybe the growth of a baby in the womb stops polyps from forming, or hormonal chaos when you are pregnant stops them from forming, I was celibate for four years and had no problems, but I have also had five children.

There are various factors that underlie the real cause of uterine fibroids. There are primary causes that contribute to the development of the fibroids in the uterus, and then there are secondary causes that contribute to the aggravation of these present fibroids. There might even be external factors like, emotional upheavals, which disrupt the normal balance of the body and make you vulnerable to such diseases.

The reason is unknown, but experience and research has proved that multipara (women with multiple pregnancies) do not usually suffer from uterine polyps, whereas it remains usually confined to the women who practice celebacy and those with fewer number of pregnacies.

Uterine fibroids are usually not dangerous, but can cause immense discomfort and lead to complications like anemia from heavy blood loss. In rare cases, they may cause complications that affect pregnancy.
In cases where there are no symptoms, treatment may not be necessary. However, proper diagnosis and treatment may be required if your symptoms are severe or causing complications. Along with conventional treatment, you can try some natural home remedies. Read here https://tr.im/34n1k
