I used to have two penpals, my cousin in AZ and my friend in FL, but do you have any penpals from other countries that you don't know, is this dangerous? do you make things up? I love having penpals though, it's so much fun to receive that letter in the mail from a place you're not familiar with and to have someone else to spill your life on sometimes...:)

ive had perpa;s before, but they never lasted, i have i.m. sorta pals, some from other countries, and i dont think its terribly dangerious as long as u dont talk about stuff like where exzactly u live and ur whole name or phone number... and as long as u dont agree to meet with out an adult presant....it should be ok

I had a few email penpals met through "answers" but they quit writing. I write to one guy in another counrty but he is more than a penpal. Why would I make stuff up. It could be dangerous just don't give any personal information. What are you about 12?

I have a penpal that I met a couple years ago online. She lives in Germany. She's great. I don't make things up. She pretty much knows where I stand. We send out birthday cards, random letters or postcards, Christmas cards, it's fun.

i used to, iwonder if people still do that?
i mean there are still a lot of places that don't have computers, and penpals would probablly be a good way for someone to reach out to the rest of the world.
this question is kinda sad.
because americans probablly don't have penpals anymore, (becuase of computers) so the only people we converse with now are in wealthy countries.
i'm gonna go eat worms.

be careful with penpals, cause there are some weird people out there ,that you dont want to get your real address, for the most part your o.k. but yah it is fun to talk with other people from all over you can mail me if you like:-)

Jesus grow up... if you want to hide away then do so... OK be careful but you can build a gradual friendship on line and as time goes by then you will learn if you can trust.... no don't make stuff up... be truthful and then if one day if your pen pal grows to be a real pal or lover then you have nothing to hide or lie about.

it relies upon on how u desire to be in touch with them before human beings used placed up and mails to be in touch yet those days digital mail and internet chatting are in vogue wanna be my penpal akash

I had one in Japan in the third grade. It was really cool, and she would send me trinkets once in awhile. It could be dangerous, but an e-mail pen pal would be safer (just don't talk about things that are too personal, or give your full real name)... if things get weird, you block them!
