I need school clothes (dress code is strict)..?

My school is a Christian Private school, and they have restrictions on what we can wear obviously. We have to wear dresses (for girls). The dress has to be knee length, neckline no lower than 4 inches below your collarbone (mainly, no cleavage) and we have to have sleeves or some kind of cover-up. Where can I find fashionable dresses that fit these restrictions?

Yeah, I should have clarified earlier, I can't wear seperates because the school had a problem with skirts getting lower and shirts rising higher and midriffs showing. So, it has to be one piece, but I think I can sew two peices together and get away with it..

Try getting skirts and tops instead of all dresses. That way you will have tops to wear with your jeans and shorts after school.The pleated skirt is popular again and they are usually to the knee. If you are tall you can get the next size bigger and take a little seam in the waist to make sure the length is right. You can also wear jackets/blazers with them in cooler weather.There are so many cute skirts of every shape and design so you should be able to find things that work. Buying separates also maximizes you wardrobe by allowing you to mix and match outfits. The blazers and sweaters can be worn with jeans also. You might like denim/khaki overall jumpers and use the same T shirts, a Tee shirt can be worn soooo many ways and you don't have to worry about cleavage! I would think 2 denim skirts, 1 pleated,sk.1 khaki sk., and a floral or designed sk and then add a couple of dresses,2 blazer style jackets, 2 sweaters, 3 shirts/blouses,5 good T's and a couple of tanks to wear under the blazers and don't forget new undies! You would be able to have a very versatile wardrobe and it could be used outside of school as well.

Obviously you can find winter dresses with sleeves and moderate necklines, but you are probably asking for right now. HOw about buying several sleeveless dresses that are the correct length and have moderate necklines, then buy a shrug or two, or a sweater that is knit so loose that it has lots of air holes in it and push up the sleeves. You may even need that sweater if the school is air conditioned. Are shirts and skirts considered dresses? You could buy broomstick skirts, they are usually past the knee or to the floor, and colorful T Shirts.

It sounds like they want you to wear either a dress or jumper. Jumpers would give you most flexibility - you could at least mix and match...

Not knowing if you are in elementary, middle or high school, it is hard to give links. Have you looked at uniforms at JCPenney? Land's ends are great quality and would last a really long time...

I have had the same thing happen to me for my church I go to! There is like no really good, beautiful, appropriate dresses, but you can find some at Mariposa and Macys

wow! Ok lets see here; you can go to mandy.com, xoxo.com or forever21.com. There some pretty decent clothing there i think and the prices are reasonable. I'm a christian myself and shop there and i'm satisfied.
