I think it should be 21 parents are responsible for their kids until they graduate from college (for the most part) from 14 to 25 years people are mindless sacks of hormones.
At least by 21 some have gained some semblance of sense.

let me guess, you're not 18 yet. I know it feels like you can't do anything but believe me, you have the REST OF YOUR LIFE to do whatever adult things you want to so enjoy your little childhood because it will be gone soon and you can't go back.

Good point but think of it this way. If there was no 'legal' age representing adulthood, then parents could control you for as long as they wish.
