baking soda good for the skin?

is it true that baking soda helps to remove zits in the face?
=what do you recommend?
cause i have this bumpy things in my face but its not exactly a pimple. some say that its white heads?..

Baking soda can be very abrasive, and you can make it worse. This may be white heads, but if you notice a more 'gravelly' texture, and redness, it may be eczema.

I'd highly recommend getting on a regular skin care regime - this will make the biggest difference. Figure out what type of skin you have - dry, normal, oily, or combination (oily on forehead and nose, but either normal or dry on the rest of your face).

I highly recommend Mary Kay products. I've been using them since I was 13 and had terrible acne - they make a big difference! The Velocity set (cleanser and moisturizer) are only 22.00 for the set and you only need a tiny bit. If you can't afford it, ask for it for your birthday.

Some other tips for you:

-Wash your face twice a day only - once in the morning, once in the evening.

- Don't use bar soap to wash your face - most of it isn't really soap at all, it's detergent in bar form. Find yourself a good skin cleanser instead

- For easy do-it-yourself facial toner, that will help with acne, you can mix rosemary oil with vinegar or witchhazel. Use this after washing your face.

- Rubbing a piece of acidic fruit, like fresh pineapple, or mango on your face will help with the acne, and slough dead skin cells away. It's a natural hydroxy acid

- Use a mask at least once a week - heavy clay masks can dry your skin out too much, use a lighter mask.

- You can make a nice scrub out of sugar and olive oil for your body.
