Yes!!! I can't stand it, it's making me shudder right now just thinking about it.
I hate the feel of it on my lips and tongue...blegh! It makes my whole mouth hurt.

I have a friend that feels that way about all paper and wood products. If you lick a popsicle stick or put paper in your mouth in front of her, she absolutly flips. So console yourself, you may hate popsicle sticks, but at least you don't have to worry about hyperventilating every time someone gets a napkin too close to their teeth.

Most likely it's because the popsicle stick is put too far back on the tongue and thus stimulates the gagging reflex. If you press down with anything at the very back of your tongue, it'll make you gag.

Why would you do that in the first place. The stick is cheap and an easy way to get the sweet frozen goodness to your tongue. You eat it and throw the stick away when it is gone. It is not a toy to play with. If you do not like then get the ones with the plastic sticks.

It only bothers me when I get splinters. A comparable sound for me is when someone chews ice or the sound of the dentist's drill. Oddly, fingernails scraping the chalkboard has never bothered me. May God bless and keep you.

They are gross. They even smell gross. I guess I associate it with the smell of wooden tongue depressors from the Dr. Office. Yep, they make my teeth hurt.
