You don't chat. Chat is for chatting... Yahoo Answers is for answering and asking questions.

I appreciate your asking this question, and I believe one person answered your cry for socializing. I've been wondering the same thing, never knew it was against the rules. Download Yahoo IM, then, as you click the user, if their email address is displayed you can plug that into YIM and chat away. Some users will display their chat names in the profile, others will not. I'm amazed that most of the responces just shut your out in the cold, "Its against the rules" or some other lame excuse. Permission to speak freely, anytime. My best to you -G

Anytime you enter a new site, the first thing you should do is read the rules & guidelines. If you had done this, and they are very easy to read, then you would have learned that chatting is prohibited on Yahoo! answers. I believe it's number 8 in the guidelines. I'll link to it.

If you'll read the guidelines for Yahoo Answers, you'll find that "chatting" is against the rules.

I don't understand why they are being so mean to you on here! Your new, so of course your not going to know everything about this! But back to your question. Sorry sweetz but this is not a chat place. You can go to yahoo360 though! Or you can just contact me if you have anymore questions so that you don't have to go through all this drama whenever you ask a question! I'm sorry you had to go through this! Not EVERYONE on here is that mean!
