I did see someone on Flavor of Love say she wants a dark skinned baby and all the black girls went off.
I don't see the big deal. A lot of people say they don't want a red head baby.
I think its ok either way.
But, I am sorry to say that most black girls hate white girls and are overly sensitive about what they say. Also black girls hate when white women date a black man with money because they say there are a few good rich black men and the white women take them all.

It depends on the family. In some families the mother would snap if the son didn't go out with a young lady from the correct country club.

In a family where people are having difficulty finding enough food, usually they won't worry about skin colors but in some cases even very poor families do think the color of the skin or religion or social rank is very important.

Even within one country different groups have very different ideas about such matters.

Yes, it is okay for a black woman to want a light skinned baby. Blacks are exempt from any association with racism.

For instance, Cynthia McKinney a black congresswoman from Georgia lost an election last Tuesday. She lashed out at the media and made all sorts of comments about them being Jewish (only in not so nice language). Well the press wouldn't print it, she got a free ride. Why? Because she can't be touched with racism.

It depends on the woman. If she is confident she wants a dark-skinned baby, she can shout it out to the roof tops and not give a sh*t what anybody has to say about that.

I hear that all the time as well. Many of the black people I know make fun of Black people that are really really dark. I point out how stupid it is and they just shrug me off.
I have to admit I have blue eyes and fair skin and I prefer the darker Mediterranean type look.

Of course it's okay. People have a right to want what they want. It's not likely that her natural child would be light skinned even if the father was pale. It could happen or she could adopt.

I'm more concerned that she would know how to be a good parent and pick out a father who would be too.

God bless all the little children and give them warm and comfortable homes.

Anyone can want something and that doesn't make it wrong. A woman can state how she feels about children in any way, no matter what color. We are all human, and the same.
