Just trying to come up with something other than raffle tickets (we're selling those now) and cookie dough sales. 7-8-9 year old boys.

Golf tournaments are great because people of all skill levels will play in them when they hear that it is for a good cause. For the golf tournament you should sell: mulligans ($5 a piece), closest to the pins on the par 3's ($10 buy in), and longest drive ($5). A raffle at the end of the golf tournament can raise a lot of money too. Good luck.

Have the boys (and a parent!) go door-to-door in the surrounding neighborhoods asking for donations. Make sure that the kid wears his jersey.

Have everything that they present to the prospective donors have a league logo on it.

im not sure how you go about it...but i have done fundraisers where you get a big box of candy bars (snickers, m&ms etc etc) and they are $1 each. they seem to do pretty good...i dont know how you would go through for that though :(
