it is deeply affecting my lifestyle... i am 19 years old and i dont wanna spend the best years of my life being afraid of an ilness that really isn't there... what should i do ?

It's not a mental disease, it's an emotional one. It shows that you are either very insecure or you have a desire for attention. Both of these conditions are under your control. You need counseling to determine which is the case and what you can change in your thought process to stop it.

Germs aren't going to kill you. Better to keep your immune function healthy with good nutrition and Vitamin C, lots of vegetables (raw or juiced or salads).

take 1000 mg of C about 3 times a day.

You won't have anything to be afraid of after that.

If you are indeed a hypochondriac, go see your doctor. Get yourself on some Paxil. After a few weeks, you should feel improvement. If you allow it to continue it will make your life hell.

See your doc, go to a psychiatrist and get an anti-depressant or what he recommends.

Admitting you have a problem, as you have done, is most of the way to a cure.
